French Toast- Baked CaramelBaked Caramel French Toast

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

Topping

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 TBSP butter
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1 TBSP light corn syrup

French Toast

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 (3/4" thick) Diagonal slices French bread

Directions:

  1. Grease 13" x 9" glass baking dish.
  2. Combine all toping ingredients in saucepan and cook until smooth (Do NOT Boil).
  3. Spread topping in prepared pan.
  4. Beat eggs.
  5. Add milk, vanilla, and salt.
  6. Dip bread into egg mixture.
  7. Place bread on top of topping..
  8. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  9. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  10. Uncover French toast and bake 20 - 25 minutes.
  11. Let rest 3 minutes.
  12. Invert onto large serving platter.
